Social Responsibility Policy
It is the policy of the Board of Directors of Travis
Credit Union to support human involvement. We do this by
investing financial resources in charitable, community,
civic and industry organizations whose goals and
objectives are consistent with ours. Travis Credit Union
offers assistance to improve the well-being of credit
union members, promote the credit union ideal of
cooperative self-help,
and bring about human and social development. |

Community Action
Travis Credit Union sees every opportunity to support our community
as an extension of the founding credit union philosophy of “people
helping people.” We believe it is important to provide members with
information that can help them improve their financial well-being,
while building a sense of community with members. We are pleased
to share some of our accomplishments in 2006.
- TCU managers contributed nearly 1,700 hours to 68 local
community and/or political organizations, and participated on
the board of directors of 23 civic organizations.
- TCU branches and departments were involved in more than 64
programs and activities to enhance community development or
investment, and to provide assistance to members who struggle
financially.

- TCU employees donated more than $96,000 to more than 131 local community or political organizations, and provided 11,940
hours of service as volunteers, members or ambassadors of many
more organizations.
- Provided scholarship awards as part of our Mary Keith Duff
Memorial Scholarship Program. We also added financial need as an
optional consideration.

- Participated in the annual food drive for the Food Bank of
Contra Costa and Solano to feed 84,000 people each month. We
also raised money for Opportunity House, a local homeless
shelter, and the Children’s Miracle Network Holiday Stocking
Program to provide exceptional care for children with diseases
and injuries of all kind. And we helped fulfill the Christmas
wishes of more than 250 children from families in need.
